Red Heat Tavern, Wilmington
Design Consultants Inc. helped the Burton’s Grill Company create the first Red Heat Tavern located in Wilmington, Massachusetts.
The planning, engineering, and renovating of the 220-seat restaurant had its difficulties but, all challenges were met with confidence and assurance by the DCI staff.
The site is located on Rt 129 close to I-93. Because of the proximity to wetlands, DCI’s work also included comprehensive civil and environmental design, existing conditions and boundary survey design and replication of the wetlands, compensatory storage, traffic impacts reports, drainage designs, and construction support and layout.
DCI used a combination of low impact development (LID) techniques combined with traditional stormwater management techniques to create balance between the development of the building and the surrounding environment.
